Between 1996 and 2010 Biosearch set up a series of 15 expeditions to the Nyika National Park and Vwaza Marsh Game Reserve in the north of Malawi. The support from the Department of National Parks and Wildlife and especially the local Parks staff was superb and the result is perhaps the most comprehensive survey of wildlife and of poaching in the park that currently exists. All the reports are available to read free of charge on this website.
We remain committed to this very special part of remote Africa although the run of research expeditions has reached a logical conclusion for now. Organisers Peter and Marianne are currently wildlife patrons of the Nyika Vwaza Trust, a UK and Malawi based charity dedicated to supporting conservation within the Park.
Please feel free to contact us through the contact tab, especially if you are one of the many members of expedition teams who made such a great contribution to the Nyika National Park with your exploration and records.
